You can make your experience of using WhatsApp  superior to your friends by just knowing some hidden WhatsApp tricks. If there are some features of whats app that you do not like then you can change them if you know these WhatsApp tricks.


1.Prevent WhatsApp Images and Videos From Appearing In Your Gallery

If you dislike this feature of whatsapp that it shows all the images and videos directly in your gallery then you can change this function and you can prevent the same.Every whatsapp user has the habit of going to gallery to delete the useless content.By using this trick you can rid off this boring process.

 STEP 1   

Open Notepad In Your Laptop and create a new blank file and save the file.

STEP 2 



The file that you have saved has the .txt extension.Now you have to change the file extension to .nomedia ( NOTE: You have to change the extension only and save the file without adding any name to it)

STEP 3  

Connect your android device to your PC using the USB cable and transfer the .nomedia file to your whatsapp folder in your android device and now it is done
 Now you will not see the whatsapp media in your gallery app.This is one of the whatsapp tricks.

2. Set WhatsApp Profile Photos To your Contacts Image 

This is very simple.You have to go to  profile pictures folder in the whatsapp folder in your phone and then open the profile pictures in the folder and now you can apply the picture to your contacts image.


This WhatsApp trick is a very unique one and it may prove useful to you in some or the other way.

3.Restore older Messages

This is the amazing whatsapp feature you are not aware of.you can do this in two ways.
In the first method you have to uninstall the whats app and then again install it from Google play store.Tap on the restore button and whatsapp will start restoring all your older messages.
This is the quite simple method but it does not work many times.
In the second method we have do it manually

STEP 1

In this step your current messages might be lost so first make a backup for them.Tap Menu button in whatsapp then go to setting then go to chat option then Restore Conversation.

STEP 2

Uninstall whatsapp from your device

STEP 3

Go to databases folder in the whatsapp folder in your device.The new back You have just created will be saved as msgstore.db.crypt8.Now in order differentiate this backup  add something else in the files name.

STEP 4

While in the databases folder you will see the different msgstore file with different years and dates.now you have to add crypt8  or  crypt 7 extension to the file that you want to restore.Rename the file as msgstore.db.crypt7 or msgstore.db.crypt8

STEP 5

Install whatsapp from the  Google Play Store.Tap on the Restore Button  and wait for the process to complete.

4. Lock WhatsApp

If you do not use lock on your android phone and you want to lock the whatsapp only then you can do this by using an app from google play store

STEP 1

You have to download App Locker from play store.You can also go for whatsapp lock.

STEP 2

Install the app locker and create password for the app locker. You have to submit a valid email id for password recovery.


STEP  3

Now it will show the list of apps installed in your phone.Find the whatsapp and tap it for activating the lock on whatsapp..



This is another whatspp trick for increasing privacy.

5. Share pdf Files

You know that whatsapp only allows the users to send only images and videos but by going through this WhatsApp hack you can share pdf files also.

STEP 1

Download and install the   CLOUDSEND APP  app on your mobile.It is available at play store.

STEP 2

open the cloudsend app and start the setup.You will need to permit access on dropbox for cloudsend
After allowing the access go to the file and tap on share option and select cloud send from the sharing options

STEP 3

The file will start preparing for sending and after a while you will see  a send button below by tapping the send button you will see that it is transfered successfully.
